These guys are doing what I wanted out of metalcore back in 2011. Glad to find new stuff in this vein. Crazy good live.
Favorite track: Sleep A Cicada Would Envy.
Aimless as I pen these few words, directionless and derelict,
it reads like a ‘goodbye’ without sentiment; unpoetic, terse, abrupt.
Artistic liberties taken in the portrayal of one’s contempt,
having since burned dark in the shadow of a stage’s fallen curtain.
My viciousness is rendered mute, stripped and displayed in its nude shame,
and I can bear that weight no longer.
I detract, I relent, I sink into melancholy in search of shelter from encumbering fatigue,
in hunt of rest to forsake all else with sleep a cicada would envy.
How long will all the screams from choruses arranged echo until they all forget?
The intent of my words shed and cast out, an exoskeletal canvas left for you in my absence.
No need greater than a seventeen year coma.
How long will all these screams from choruses arranged echo until they all forget?
Sleep like a cicada.

One of my favorite albums of the year. Uncannily aggressive, with a wall of sound production to blow your chest out. Riffs galore, heavy as hell, cacophonic to groovy, and ideal metal album for me. Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass)
